(File photo)The number of electric vehicles fast chargers in Wellington will more than triple after the city council secured almost $500,000 in Government funding. Wellington currently has 14 fast chargers, but will soon add another 30, taking the number of fast chargers to 44. The city has 30 electric vehicle chargers in total – 14 fast chargers and 16 slow chargers. Slow chargers take five or six hours to fully charge a vehicle, compared with less than one hour for fast chargers.
