Wellington City councillor Simon Woolf had taken Wellington Hospital mascot Hospi on the Routeburn Track, where he took photographs of it. SIMON WOOLF Simon Woolf was taking photos along the Routeburn Track before he needed heli-lifting out. When he was winched aboard the rescue helicopter he recognised the crew member being formerly from Wellington's Life Flight rescue helicopter. As well as being a Wellington City councillor Woolf is a professional photographer. In hospital with Woolf is Wellington Hospital mascot Hospi who he had been photographing along the track.
