Yesterday, residents of Gititu, Ithekahuno and Tetu areas received foodstuff, sanitisers and masks from Thuku Adonai Foundation. Separately, Nyeri Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) called on individuals to complement government efforts and to donate food items to address hunger and starvation in rural households. Chairperson of the volunteers David Munene said they were alarmed at the growing number of households going hungry or living on a meal a day.
