Where is the first place you bring people to when they visit NYC? It boasts amazing views back on to Manhattan and on a nice day you can dip your toes in the East River (at your own peril). Hop on a ferry from midtown Manhattan across to Long Island City, where you can sit out on the grass and take in the views of Manhattan, while sharing a picnic in the free space on the waterfront.
