That points to a Fri-Mon weekend of $7.7m and a Wed-Mon debut of $9.4m. I was hoping for a little more than a $5.7 million Fri-Sun debut, but that’s fine for a very inexpensive future cult flick. Ya Veremos, from Pantelion Films, earned $1.79 million over the Fri-Sun weekend in 369 theaters. Focus Features debuted Lenny Abrahamson’s The Little Stranger into 474 theaters this weekend. With mixed reviews and a near absence of marketing or buzz, the film’s projected $505,000 Fri-Mon debut isn’t much of a surprise.
