Deputy President William Ruto has told Kiambu residents that he and President Uhuru Kenyatta do not have a preferred candidate for the county’s governor race. The DP told residents they are the ones who will make the decision on August 7 next year. A similar scenario had happened in the church pitting nominated MP Isaac Mwaura and area MP Esther Gathogo, who will be contesting for Ruiru MP. He told residents political rivalry between Kabogo and Waititu should not divide them or disrupt tranquility. This unfolded when Ruto made a stopover in Ruiru town to address residents after launching the Ruiru Deanery Medium Sacco at African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa.
