Despite being a warrior community, Kopardi verdict has proved that the Maratha community can achieve goals by exhibiting restraint. And it would maintain this restraint to achieve reservation benefits for the community. Mansingh Pawaar, the man who first conceived the idea of Maratha silent march at Aurangabad, said: "The verdict would instil faith in judiciary and it would also result in bringing confidence within the society that silent marches too can achieve results." Stating that reservation issue is now in Court, Pawaar said that community needs to follow it up at government level and if required putting a pressure on Union government, it would achieve what it wants to. Pawaar, however, made it clear that Kopardi verdict has proved that Maratha community can achieve its goal — be it justice in the Kopardi case or reservation for itself —in a peaceful manner.
