As a third-year student at the University of Ghana at the time, he said they all prayed for the uprising to be successful. The objective of the uprising he said was to ensure probity, accountability and transparency in the governance of the country. Mr. Ofori was, however, quick to add that the aims and objectives were all not achieved because some of the persons who led the uprising were also corrupt. The historian was worried, the generation we have today have not learnt lessons from our past.
