Such actions constitute serious offences under the Domestic Violence Act, 2007 (Act 732) and the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29). The Ministry said it has attempted to reach the victim after obtaining a phone number believed to be hers but has so far been unsuccessful. Gender Minister orders medical checks for family using 'faeces' and 'urine' to cookMeanwhile, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has officially referred the case to the Ghana Police Service for prompt investigation and appropriate action. MoGCSP reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening interventions and working with relevant stakeholders to prevent all forms of violence, promote a safe and inclusive society, and ensure that no one is left behind.
