Such actions constitute serious offences under the Domestic Violence Act, 2007 (Act 732) and the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29). The Ministry said it has attempted to reach the victim after obtaining a phone number believed to be hers but has so far been unsuccessful.
