Water supply to be fully restored by weekend - Nation

KUALA SELANGOR: The water supply in several areas in the Klang Valley will resume by the weekend as repair works are underway following a burst pipe incident, said Selangor Infrastructure and Public Facilities Committee chairman Zaidy Abdul Talib. The water supply to the Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak and Kuala Lumpur districts is expected to be fully restored by 6pm on Sunday (March 11) while users in Kuala Langat and Hulu Selangor are expected to have their water supply fully restored at 6am on Saturday (March 10). "The repair works are expected to finish by 6pm on Thursday (March 8)," he said to reporters at the SSP3 water treatment plant in Bukit Badong on Wednesday (March 7). He added that the water supply will be restored in stages after the repair works are completed. A surge vessel system burst at the SSP3 water treatment plant on Tuesday (March 6), causing a delay to the resumption of water supply to affected areas in the Klang Valley.
