Otago Peninsula Community Board chairman Paul Pope said the demolition was a bittersweet moment for many in the Tomahawk community but the building had become too derelict to save. A meeting will be held at the Ocean Grove Recreation Hall next Thursday at 5.30pm, where a list of community proposals for the redevelopment of the hall will be discussed.
