The Ahmedabad traffic police department is about to kick start the next leg of the e-challan drive from April 15. As per traffic police officers, 1,300 CCTV cameras have been installed at 87 major junctions of Ahmedabad. Besides, a grievance cell at the commissioner's office in Shahibaug has been formed to lodge complaints against e-challan offenders. Personal Digital Assistant device will be given to the traffic cops through which they will collect details of vehicles and its owners. The device will be given to each traffic cops on field, who will catch people who are found violating rules.
