The Sharks could move alone into first if they win their 12th consecutive match later Saturday when they play the Parramatta Eels. Brett Morris scored a pair of tries as Canterbury beat the Sydney Roosters 24-20. On Sunday, Canberra plays Newcastle and South Sydney takes on third-place North Queensland. The Storm and Cronulla are level with 28 competition points.
