Former Democrat Party MP Warong Dechgitvigrom, who has joined the Action Coalition for Thailand (ACT) Party, will not become its leader as some media outlets reported, ACT co-founder Suthep Thaugsuban said yesterday. "We didn't invite him to replace party leader MR Chatu Mongol Sonakul, who will remain our leader for a full four-year term. Mr Suthep also denied talk that Dr Warong will become ACT secretary-general, replacing incumbent Thaweesak Na Takuathung. With his calibre and political experience, Dr Warong would be welcomed by any party, the ACT leader said. Dr Warong said that in joining the ACT, he didn't bargain for any position, nor did he have any conflicts with the Democrats.
