The President of the Democracy and Human Rights Foundation, Emadeddin Muntasser, stated that warlord Khalifa Haftar had appointed a new team of legal representatives to defend him before the American courts. Muntasser said that by appointing Harvey & Binnall, new legal rounds were due to begin in the court, following a delay, during which the new lawyers will be fully briefed on the circumstances of the case against him and its details. He affirmed that his Foundation would continue to coordinate with the lawyers of victims, and indeed victims themselves, in preparation of confronting Haftar with a collective lawsuit, which represents thousands of Libyan citizens, calling on members of the government to cooperate in pursuing all criminals.
