About 30 eucalyptus trees on a Wanaka property were brought down by strong winds at the weekend. Co-owner John Blennerhassett and his wife, Jill, were at home on Friday night when the winds hit and they were astonished to find very little property damage the next morning. Trees had fallen across the entire property including near the wedding venue, where Richie and Gemma McCaw were married earlier this year, but the venue itself was undamaged.
