Two others were injured in the incidents in Pubail of Gazipur City Corporation and Kainjanul of Gazipur Sadar Upazila early Saturday. The dead are Md Jahid Mia, 2, son of Sumon Mia from Kishoreganj, and Selina Akter, 30. Rina came to visit her parents with Jahid, Siddiqua said. Md Shah Alam, a member of Mirzapur union council, said Selina, a garment factory worker, died after a wall of her rented house collapsed around 5am. Shal Alam said he suspected heavy rains loosened the base of the wall leading it to collapse.
