Metro Manila Development Authority spokesperson Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago earlier said they recommended class holidays from December 2 to 6 in seven schools in Manila in view of the SEA Games hosting. Most of these schools are located near the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Malate, Manila where most of the SEA Games events would be held. Pialago said as early as November 13, the SEA Games would already begin sendoff of Filipino athletes which would be also held in Rizal Memorial Stadium.
