Farmers donated a $29,941 cheque to the hospice after collecting through their Farmers Tree of Remembrance Appeal. Waipuna Hospice fundraising manager Trish Rae said the donation made on Wednesday was "heart-warming". "It's a phenomenal amount of money and just goes to show how highly regarded people hold the hospice," she said. Waipuna Hospice provides specialist medical care for patients living with a life-limiting illness, and support services for them and their families. It also offers support services to patients and their support networks whether this be family/whanau, friends, neighbours, or staff at rest homes and hospital.
