The Saskatoon Blades have an answer to an ‘age old’ problem. Late Wednesday, the Blades solved their overage dilemma by sending 20-year-old forward Ryan Hughes to the Kamloops Blazers. Hughes’ departure leaves the Blades with the league’s limit of three overage 20-year-old players on the roster: defencemen Scott Walford and Nolan Kneen, and forward Riley McKay. He made his WHL debut last season, appearing in 41 games and recording three points. “We looked at what the returns would be with the different players and one of the big factors here was the return,” Priestner said.
