Most voters view capitalism better than socialism as debates over how much to revamp the U.S. economic system help shape the 2020 presidential election, according to an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday. More than half of registered voters, or 52%, have a positive view of capitalism, the survey found. At the same time, only 19% of voters have a positive view of socialism. Even so, some of Sanders' rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination have called his plans to overhaul the U.S. economic system too dramatic. The NBC/WSJ survey does not include any questions about how much voters tie Sanders to socialism.
