Volunteers collect 37kg of rubbish at Dublin beach

Around 20 employees at EirGrid participated in the initiative as part of An Taisce’s Clean Coasts programme to mark World Ocean Day on June 8. The rubbish collected included over 200 cigarette butts, 90 plastic bags, and 50 baby wipes. This is the second consecutive year EirGrid’s Clean Coasts group has held such an event. Clean Coasts’ Big Beach Clean encourages communities and volunteers to remove litter from our coasts.
