Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday held talks with British Prime Minister Theresa May for the first time, telling her Russia wants to re-establish ties in all areas, the Kremlin said. The meeting, on the margins of a G20 summit in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou, was “good, constructive and open,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. When May became prime minister in July, following the resignation of David Cameron, Putin said he was ready for “constructive dialogue” with the new British leader.
