Vision and Voice dominate Howick Local BoardPJ TAYLOR In the shade of the old oak tree, at Fisher House, Highbrook, on Saturday, the eight successful Vision and Voice candidates elected onto the nine-seat Howick Local Board: back row, David Collings, Bob Wichman, Garry Boles, John Spiller and Peter Young; front row, Katrina Bungard, Adele White and Lucy Schwaner. The Vision and Voice ticket that ran a high-profile local-body campaign has claimed eight of the nine seats on the Howick Local Board, in Saturday's Auckland Council Election Day progress results. The eight are all incumbent members of the local board that served in the last term. With Stewart taking her place at the council, that makes way for the fourth-highest polling candidate in the Howick subdivision, Jim Donald (Ratepayers and Residents), to be returned to the local board. Saturday's biggest winner was Vision and Voice's Peter Young, the only new member of the Howick Local Board.
