Following months of anticipation, U.K. carrier Virgin Atlantic has finally unveiled the designs for its new Upper Class business-class section. Virgin Atlantic is purchasing eight A350-1000s and leasing four additional aircraft from ALC, with a lease option for a fifth aircraft. Virgin AtlanticThe new suites are a stark departure from the airline’s current Upper Class design, which is decades old at this point. The new Upper Class cabin will include 11 rows of four seats each laid out in a 1 – 2 – 1 pattern. Virgin Atlantic has also taken the opportunity to update several of the other hard products and amenities of Upper Class, including its iconic in-flight bar.
