The Village Voice, the one-time Big Apple must-read for its muckraking journalism and cultural criticism, will cease publishing after 63 years, its owner said Friday. The move comes just a year after the Voice, which created the template for an alternative weekly, ended its print run and went online only as it struggled with the evaporating advertising revenue that has hammered print publications.
