While addressing the players at Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) where the team is camping ahead the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers cum Cecafa zonal tournament, Vihiga County Governor Dr. Wilber Ottichilo reassured the team of his continued support. And while clarifying on the status of the women’s tournament, Cecafa Executive Director Auka Gecheo, said the competition has only been postponed but not cancelled. “The Cecafa Women Champions League has only been postponed to an unconfirmed date due to some unavoidable reasons,” said Gecheo.
