DCP Leader Rigathi Gachagua/FILEDemocracy for Citizens Party leader Rigathi Gachagua says he does not intend to apologise over his recent comments concerning President William Ruto, saying he was simply expressing what he views as the truth. “I have no apology to give to anybody,” Gachagua said. Gachagua defended his position when asked whether his statements could be seen as disrespectful or contrary to leadership expectations, saying he found no issue with what he said. Earlier, President Ruto had also addressed the exchanges from his side, describing them as reactions to comments from political competitors. He also noted that opposition figures appeared to lack a clear agenda, saying leadership should focus on service delivery rather than exchanges of words.
