A day after a second summit with U.S. President Donald Trump collapsed over sanctions, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended a welcome ceremony hosted by Vietnamese President Nguyen Phu Trong in Hanoi on Friday. The two sides gave conflicting accounts of what happened, raising questions about the future of their denuclearisation negotiations. He said he had walked away because of unacceptable North Korean demands. After the welcome ceremony, Kim and Trong will sit down for talks. The North Korean leader’s official itinerary also includes meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and wreath laying at Monument to War Heroes and Martyrs and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on Saturday.
