Photo: Nhat BacThe agreement was reached during a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Russian Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Aleksandr Kurenkov. He suggested that Russia accelerate technology transfer and work with Vietnam to jointly produce specialized vehicles and technical equipment used in rescue and disaster response. He noted that cooperation between Russia’s emergency ministry, Russian law enforcement agencies, and Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security remains an important pillar of the Vietnam–Russia comprehensive strategic partnership. Kurenkov affirmed that Russia would continue working closely with Vietnamese partners, particularly in the areas highlighted by the prime minister.
