Seven years ago, Ha Ngoc Chi from Lang Son received a heart transplant from a 37 year old donor. Today, that donated heart continues to beat strongly, helping her pursue her dreams as a student. Chi’s medical indicators at the time matched the donated heart. On October 1, 2019, the heart transplant surgery was successfully performed at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in Hanoi. The donated heart began beating again inside the young girl’s chest, bringing with it life, hope and a new future.
