KOTA KINABALU: A video clip has surfaced on social media showing the dramatic arrest of five suspected drug traffickers as they landed at Sandakan airport. The video shows Customs Department officers calling for backup from airport police to catch one of the suspects trying to escape from the airport arrival hall. When contacted, Sabah Customs director Hamzah Sundang said he was aware of the viral video on social media. Witnesses at the Sandakan airport claimed that the five men arrived on a flight from Kuala Lumpur. Customs officers immediately arrested them when they were taking their suitcases from the luggage carousel.
