But we do not mind the other parts of Antonio Pigafetta’s narrative of the Magellan expedition regarding Filipinos. This is the single most important role of our ancestors in the Magellan expedition. It is the same humanity we showed the Jews in 1938, the White Russians in 1949 and the Vietnamese in 1976. It is the humanity of the Filipino nurse and caregiver around the world, and of all our frontliners in this coronavirus pandemic. With the spirit of Lapulapu, we will be victorious in our humanity!
