A veteran Toronto police officer faces organized crime charges after 11 people were arrested in a crackdown on corruption in the violence-plagued GTA towing industry. The other 10 men who were charged alongside Joseph are all employees from multiple GTA tow truck companies. Seven of them are tow truck drivers, police said. Investigators found at least one instance in which police had a cloned radio while tow truck drivers had the original. In some cases, drivers with the encrypted radios charged a monthly fee to other tow truck drivers to access information from the radios.
