The Calgary Stampeders are going to be replacing their longest-tenured player with a guy who has only been around for 10 days. When the Stamps take on the B.C. Lions on Saturday at McMahon Stadium (6 p.m., TSN/770 CHQR), they’ll be without the services of halfback Brandon Smith, who has an undisclosed injury. In his place will be DaShaun Amos, a 24-year-old rookie who was added to the practice roster on Oct. 3. Defensive backs coach Josh Bell, though, seems to think the Stampeders may have uncovered a gem.
