Vehicle rolls in the rain south of Palmerston NorthA person was injured when a van rolled near a major intersection south of Palmerston North. Police were called to the intersection of State Highways 56 and 57 just after 7.30am on Thursday, a spokeswoman said. A van had rolled nearby on Makerua Rd, SH57. The crash had blocked the north-bound lane, but by 8.30am the road was clear, the spokeswoman said. Road conditions are poor amid heavy rain.
