Vandals wreck car abandoned at beachSUPPLIED Three of the four hubcaps fared better than the rest of the abandoned car, damaged by vandals at Maraetai Beach car park. Over six weeks, East Auckland locals have watched a mysterious black hatchback car go from just fine, to junk. The Honda Civic vehicle first appeared at the Maraetai Beach car park in early February. Local concerns led the Eastern Courier to ask the Auckland Council what could be done. The car has now been removed from the Maraetai Beach car park.
