One year ago at the start of the pandemic, there was almost zero hope of finding a vaccine in the short term. From prolonged separation, to loss of income and business closures, the restoration of vital parts of our lives hinges on the express roll-out of the vaccine. Any delay would be a further blow to the EU’s vaccination plans, already dogged by a bumpy delivery from other makers. The OECD think-tank too has warned new virus variants and lethargic vaccine roll-outs may threaten any chances of improvement for businesses and jobs. Vaccines are our only way out and people will not be kept in the dark about how to get to the exit.
