New York (CNN Business) CureVac, a German biotech working on a Covid-19 vaccine that is backed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and has a manufacturing agreement with Elon Musk's Tesla (TSLA), soared again Monday after more than tripling in its Wall Street debut Friday. CureVac recently received approval from the governments of Germany and Belgium to start clinical trials for one of its vaccines for Covid-19. SAP SAP CureVac is also backed by billionaire Dietmar Hopp, the co-founder of German software giantGlaxoSmithKline GSK Hopp owns nearly half of CureVac. The German government and Big Pharma leaderalso have big stakes in the company. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation invested $40 million in CureVac in 2015.
