Thumbnail sketch— For a Republican primary, a town selectman (Republican) with delusions of grandeur and ambitions of higher office conspires with an employee of the town clerk’s office to change 280 voter registrations and submit fraudulent ballots for the people whose registrations were changed. My brother, who is a lifelong Democrat, was understandably astonished to find out he’d already voted as a Republican. The selectman then married the town clerk office employee, apparently under the impression that you can’t be forced to testify against your spouse. Turns out you can be, if the prosecution can make a case for it.
