NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked all infrastructure ministries to adopt new technologies to achieve quantum jump in creation of infrastructure in the country as the BJP-led NDA government gets down to implementation mode ahead of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.A senior government official said NITI Aayog , the government's premier thinktank, has made a comprehensive presentation on airports, renewable energy and petroleum to the prime minister following which Modi also reviewed the first quarter performance of other eight sectors. "PM has asked all key ministries to speed up creation of infrastructure in the country at a three-hour long meeting. The idea is to ensure ministries adopt new technologies that can help them improve efficiencies and result in quantum jump in performance," said the official. Prior to this, Modi had reviewed and set targets for eight other infrastructure sectors, including road, transport, ports and railways.
