Witnesses said Kevin Kimuger Chirchir, 22, of Upper Kabete Campus, lost his balance and banged his forehead on the floor. The third year Bachelor of Science student had just returned to the hostel at around 8pm. "He fell from the second floor of the hostel. Monda said Chirchir told him he wanted to see a friend on the second floor but did not find him.
