The office of Federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu did not respond to the Star’s requests for comments on the remarks of Ford and Smith. The Ministry of Health is also calling on the federal government to supply more vaccines as COVID-19 cases rise in the province. “We need the federal government to deliver more COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible, to keep up with Ontario’s capacity to administer, which continues to increase every day,” it said.
