The girl raised the allegation when Bhatgram Union Parishad Member Idris Ali alias Chengtu Member, 50, took her to Sadullapur Police Station last Friday to start a rape case against another person. Both Idris and the other rape accused, Masud Mia, 18, have been arrested in two separate cases initiated by the girl, Inspector Mostafizur Rahman told bdnews24.com on Thursday. The alleged victim moved in to the house of Idris at Tiagachha village when he married her mother in early 2018. When Idris came to know about the relationship, he took the girl to the police station. After she initiated a rape case against Masud, she revealed the rape incidents involving her stepfather at one stage of a conversation with the OC Arshedul Haque, according to police.
