The unveiling of Porirua skatepark's new design has been greeted with laughter and confusion. Porirua City Council released an aerial image of the almost complete art work on Thursday afternoon via the council Facebook page and some locals were bemused with one aspect of the design. The council had decided to reopen the popular skatepark after artists completed phase one of the painting, the post said. "The artwork isn't finished yet the skate bowl will be a volcano once finished," a spokesman said.
