PETALING JAYA: Former Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein (pic) has urged party leaders to immediately convene a meeting of the party's supreme council. This was after six Umno MPs announced their resignations from the party on Friday (Dec 14). According to Hishammuddin, an immediate meeting of the party's top decision-making body was needed in light of the current situation. "In a situation which is full of uncertainty and worry, I urge the top leadership of Umno to immediately call for a meeting of the supreme council," he said. The council was supposed to hold its meeting on Sunday (Dec 16) night, but the meeting has been postponed, with no new date given.
