Members of Parliament,Today, it is a profound honour for me to deliver the first State of the Nation Address of my second term in office. All of us have endured an almost permanent state of political campaigning, which has divided Kenyans, sometimes tragically, as in 2008. That disunity is a direct threat not just to our freedom, and not just to our prosperity, but also to our nation. I can only hope that every African nation will show the same foresight that you, our Hon. When he and I met earlier in the year, we agreed to work together to strengthen the unity of our country.
