By SAMWEL OWINOMore by this AuthorPresident Uhuru Kenyatta will next month give his first State of the Nation address to the 12th Parliament in a joint parliamentary sitting at the main chambers. Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi on Tuesday notified the MPs about the address that will take place on May 2 at 2.30pm. This year’s address comes when the country is experiencing relative political peace after President Uhuru Kenyatta and the opposition leader Raila Odinga agreed to work together on March 9. During a similar address in 2016, opposition MPs whistled as the Head of State spoke. Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi Opiyo was among the MPs who whistled a few minutes after President stood to address the Parliament.
