President Uhuru Kenyatta has landed in Kisumu for his state visit to the lakeside city. He was and was received by Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma and Karachuonyo MP James Rege. Obura has been facing a lot of criticism from ODM party leaders and local residents for allegedly abandoning the Party which sponsored him to parliament. Kisumu MPs Fred Outa (Nyando, James Nyikal (Seme), Olago Aluoch(Kisumu West ), Onyango Koyoo ( Muhoroni ), Aduma Owuor ( Nyakach ), Shakeel Shabir (Kisumu East ), Kisumu Senator Anyang Nyong'o and Kisumu county women Representative Rose Nyamunga were not present. The President also held private a meeting with Jubilee leaders before he proceeded to preside over the national drama gala festival at Kisumu State lodge.
