PHOTO | FILEUber Kenya on Tuesday gave Kenyans a discounted ride on the last day of voter registration. The taxi hailing firm on Valentine’s day gave a 50% discount off two trips in Nairobi, Thika and Mombasa to encourage people use the trips for voter registration. All one had to do was to open the Uber app and add the promo code 254LOVE in the payment or promotions tab of the menu. Uber’s rivals Little Cab had a Valentine’s Day offer too that gave female riders a discount on Tuesday. According to an email that has been sent to all who have registered with the Safaricom hailing cab, all women who request to use it will get a discount of Sh500 for every ride.
